Soak mulch before or immediately after applying it to gardens
Never plant through dry mulch, especially during hot weather
Because dry mulch will draw moisture from the soil and tender plants, water gardens thoroughly when applying mulch.

The mulched area should cover as much of the root zone as possible

Eastern Red Cedar

Eastern Red Cedar is produced from the eastern red cedar tree, a common coniferous species growing on a variety of sites throughout the eastern half of United States. Although not generally considered to be an important commercial species, its wood is highly valued because of its beauty, durability, and workability.

Black Dyed Hardwood Mulch

With our premium hardwood mulch at its base, colored mulch has all the benefits of mulch, including weed prevention and moisture retention, with the added benefit of providing an unique aesthetic enhancement to your property.

Our colored mulches are dyed using a carbon based colorant, making it safe for the environment, plants, people and pets. The dye used to color the mulch offers UV protection to the soil. The UV-resistant mulch is more durable than regular mulch and typically last a full season.

To determine the amount of bulk mulch needed:
Length(Feet) x Width(Feet) divided by 160 sf @ 2″ deep = Total Cubic Yards Needed

- - Coverage @ 2″ deep will cover 160 SF Per Cubic Yard
  - Coverage @ 4″ deep will cover 80 SF Per Cubic Yard
  - coverage @ 6″ deep will cover 53 SF Per Cubic Yard

Example : 16 Feet x 20 feet area = 320 SF divided by 160 SF @ 2″ Coverage will take 2 Cubic Yards
